Our Programs

  • Our work studio program gives our Crew (adults with developmental disabilities) an outlet for creativity and a way to learn job skills. Each Crew member is assessed through our in-house assessment which determines goals and interests, driving their individual programming. Supports and modifications are created to ensure each individual is successful and able to engage in productive work. Our work studio includes pottery, where Crew make and sell pottery, learning valuable job skills along the way. Our Crew also engage in other art projects, depending on their interests. All of the pottery and projects created during work studio programming is sold at local markets and 100% of proceeds go directly back into our program, helping us remain accessible.

    Love.Craft Athens X Woodland Gardens: we have a group of Crew who work in a dedicated greenhouse at Woodland Gardens. Find us at local markets selling plant starters and produce grown and harvested by our Crew!

  • Our creative expression programming includes music therapy classes, theater classes by Little Characters, and dance classes by Dancefx. These classes empower our Crew to express themselves and find their voice, providing important tools for them to identify with our Athens community.

    These classes develop focus, communication, processing, self-determination, and autonomy—all valuable job skills!

  • Our customized employment program gives our Crew opportunities for placements IN the community. We match our Crew with paid job or volunteer/internship positions that are aligned with their interests and goals. We provide support for businesses who hire our Crew so they are educated on how to engage with our Crew and help them be successful.

    For our Crew who are entrepreneurs and have ‘diy businesses’, we assist with helping them develop and grow their business.
